Referrals to Children's Social Care before the age of five
I am undertaking a study of the incidence of involvement of children in the children's services. I would like to access some information under the Freedom of Information Act on children referred and investigated by Children's Social Care in your local authority before they reach the age of five. Can you please supply the following information regarding referrals etc. to children's social care for the following cohort, children born in the year from 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020. Before their fifth birthday: How many children had ever been referred How many referrals were made on these children How many children had been subject of a strategy meeting/discussion How many children had been provided with a care and support plan For those children on a care and support plan, the category of need at the start of the first plan How many children had ever been subject of a section 47 enquiry How many children had ever been placed on a child protection register For those children placed on the child protection register the category of abuse allocated at the start of the first registration How many children had ever been looked after How many looked after children had left care to be adopted What was the legal status of looked after children born 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020 at 31st March 2025 All Questions except for number 2 are counts of individual children whilst question 2 asks for the number of referrals made on children in this cohort. Where relevant children involved in services prior to their birth should be included.
