Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) and Conference Chair Workforce Data
I would be grateful if you could provide the following information for the most recent reporting year available (preferably 2023-2024): 1. Number of IROs and Conference Chairs employed (headcount and FTE). 2. Whether these roles are delivered as a dual function (i.e. IRO and Conference Chair combined) or as separate posts. 3. Details of any additional duties undertaken by IROs/Conference Chairs (e.g. quality assurance, audit, participation work, policy development). 4. Average caseloads per IRO and/or Conference Chair (or the current number of children looked after and number of children currently subject to Child Protection Registration) 5. Any internal benchmarks or guidance used to determine appropriate caseload levels.
