I write regarding an FOI request on the use of agency teachers in the local education authority and would be grateful if you could answer the following questions: 1. Between 01.09.2025 and 31.10.2025, how many days were supply teachers used? 2. During the same period, how many hours of teacher absence were recorded? 3. During the same period, how many hours of teacher absence were covered by a person designated as Cover Supervisor? 4. During the same period, how many hours of teacher absence were covered by an HLTA? 5. During the same period, how many hours of teacher absence were covered by a person without QTS? 6. Of those days recorded for teacher absence, please provide a breakdown of days covered by a casual contract teacher employed directly by the school, by agency teachers and by QTS. 7. During the same period, how much money was spent on supply cover, broken down direct employment by the school, agency employment, and QTS for both types of employment? 8. Please provide the total cost spent on supply teachers in the Autumn Term of 2024, broken down by QTS, direct employment by the school, agency employment and lack of QTS for both types of employment?
