Potholes
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (and, where applicable, the Environmental Information Regulations 2004) relating to potholes on carriageways maintained by the Council. For each of the financial years 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26, please provide: 1. The number of pothole reports received. 2. The number of potholes repaired. 3. The average time from report to repair, in days. If an average is not readily calculable from your systems, please instead provide the number and percentage of pothole repairs completed within your target response time(s), stating what those target response times are. 4. The number of compensation claims received relating to vehicle damage or personal injury attributed to potholes; the number of claims paid; and the total amount paid out. If legal costs cannot easily be separated from settlement amounts, the combined figure is acceptable. Please indicate which it is. Additionally: 5. Your current highway intervention criteria for pothole repair (e.g. minimum depth or width triggering repair) and your target response times by defect category. If these are already published, a link to the relevant document is sufficient.
