I would be grateful if you could provide the following recorded information: 1. Teacher of the Deaf workforce The number of qualified Teachers of the Deaf employed by your local authority's sensory impairment or hearing impairment service, expressed as both: * Headcount; and * Full-time equivalent (FTE), where available. 2. Welsh language capacity Of these Teachers of the Deaf, how many are recorded by the authority as being able to provide professional support through the medium of Welsh or are otherwise recorded as Welsh-speaking. 3. Recording of Welsh language skills If Welsh language ability is recorded, please state how this is measured or recorded (for example, self-declaration, Welsh Language Skills Framework level, or another recognised system). 4. Service delivery arrangements If your authority does not employ Teachers of the Deaf directly, please indicate: * the organisation or regional service that provides this service on behalf of the authority; and * whether your authority holds equivalent workforce information for that provider. 5. Support for Welsh-medium learners * The number of primary school-aged deaf and hard of hearing learners attending Welsh-medium schools within your local authority who received support from the Teacher of the Deaf service during the reporting period. * If available, please also provide the total number of primary school-aged deaf and hard of hearing learners supported by the service, regardless of language medium. 6. Language of specialist support * If this information is not recorded, please confirm that it is not held. * If recorded, of the learners identified in Question 5, how many received Teacher of the Deaf support: o wholly through the medium of Welsh; o bilingually through Welsh and English; or o wholly through the medium of English. 7.
