Youth workers
I am writing to make a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I would like to request the following information on youth workers held by your local authority. 1. How many youth workers does the local authority currently employ? OR How many staff do you currently employ in youth services? For clarification, we mean number of employees rather than FTE posts. By youth workers, we mean employees employed by the council to undertake youth work. Common job titles are youth worker, youth support worker, youth service manager, youth practitioner, welfare community and youth workers but your council may title roles differently. 2. Does your local authority utilise the Pink Book, the Green Book, a combination of both, or an alternate framework for the grading and payment of youth workers? 3. If your authority uses a combination of Pink and Green Book T&Cs, what percentage of youth workers employed by your authority are on Pink Book T&Cs? 4. If your authority uses a combination of Pink and Green Book T&Cs, is there a clear factor for which workers are on either framework? For example, your council may have put new employees after a specific date on different T&Cs etc. 5. How many 'evening sessions' does your council require Youth Workers to undertake per fortnight? For clarification by 'evening sessions' we mean any session of work finishing after 6pm.
