Period Dignity Grant
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request information relating to free period products provided or funded by the council. Please provide: 1. For 2024/25, 2025/26 and 2026/27 to the date of this request: a) the total Period Dignity Grant funding received or allocated to the council; b) the total Period Dignity Grant expenditure; c) the amount of this expenditure relating specifically to community/public settings outside schools and colleges, if separately recorded; and d) the amount of this expenditure relating specifically to schools and colleges, if separately recorded. 2. As at 18 September 2026, the number of locations supplied with free period products, broken down where centrally recorded by: a) schools and colleges; and b) community/public settings outside schools and colleges. 3. A list of these locations, including venue name, venue type and postcode/address where held, identifying whether each is: a) a school/college; or b) a community/public setting. 4. Of the locations identified in question 2, the number where, if centrally recorded: a) products are available within toilets or washrooms; b) products can be accessed without asking a member of staff; and c) a dedicated dispenser or distribution unit is used. Where possible, please provide these figures separately for schools/colleges and community/public settings. 5. For 2024/25, 2025/26 and 2026/27 to the date of this request, where recorded separately: a) the amount spent on period-product dispensers or distribution equipment; and b) the number of dispensers or distribution units purchased or installed. Where possible, please provide these figures separately for schools/colleges and community/public settings. If question 4 would cause the request to exceed the Section 12 cost limit, please disregard this question and provide the remaining information. If the information requested in questions 2-5 cannot be separated between schools/colleges and community/public settings, please provide the broader figures or data held and state that these include both types of setting. If a full location list under question 3 is not held centrally, please provide any existing breakdown by venue type alongside the totals requested in question 2. Where 2025/26 or 2026/27 expenditure figures have not yet been finalised, please provide the latest recorded figures held and identify these as provisional.
