Second Homes Supplement
I am in receipt of a letter stating that at the October Council meeting there will be discussion about a further increase in Council Tax for second home owners. 1. I would be interested to receive information on how this and the previous increase falls into the The Equality Act 2011 Wales Regulations. It clearly states that those who you provide services to should be treated Equaly. Obviously, this is not the case with the added 200% or 300% {up for discussion}. 2. I would also like to know how many properties have been sold since the Right to Buy legislation came into force until it was cancelled. 3. I would like to know how much of the money raised from those sales have been spent on * Affordable homes 4. Why are all holiday homes not being treated equaly, ie. Chalets, Mobile Homes. I understand they are not available for a full 12 months, but they could be charged a percentage.
