Capacity Of Residential Care Places In Care Homes
What at the total number of beds over all care homes managed by the Council and how many of them are currently occupied. Please state reasons for any spare capacity if known. Please identify dementia beds separately within the total. Please also state whether in the last 12 months the Council has turned away any potential care home residents during the application process as the reasons why. Can the council also provide details of any modelling it has done about future capacity requirements from potential residents. Please also give an explicit statement whether you as a council believe the requirements to use the residential facilities will increase or decrease. Please provide this answer in respect of service users with Dementia and those not currently diagnosed with Dementia.
