Statutory Notices and Costs Related to 20MPH Speed Limit Review
Previously I have requested, and you have provided, the below information for the first tranche of the 20MPH speed limit policy roll out from 2023. Since then Welsh Government commenced a default speed limit 'review', that saw many areas roll back or change limits from 20MPH to 30MPH during 2025. Part of the statutory communication method for these changes back or adaptations was again via Statutory Notices in print publications such as newspapers - the notices might be labelled as TROs / road orders or similar. I am requesting the total number of such notices placed for this second tranche as part of your local review and any changes. 1. I am requesting the titles of the publications, and publishers, that your authority placed the notices with. 2. I am request the total cost (not individual notice cost - so not to trigger any commercial sensitivities) per publication where known, and/or a total per publisher. 3. I am also requesting if any or all of that sum has been reimbursed by Welsh Government. 4. I am also requesting the recorded circulations of the publications used if you hold that information. 5. If you have a PDF, image, or similar copy of the notices placed I would request a copy as well.
