Election count
I am conducting a Wales-wide information exercise following the recent Senedd elections. I would like to request two things: 1. A list of media and numbers of staff who requested and/or attended the count if one was held by your authority. eg. BBC x3 , Freelancer x1 (I am specifically not asking for personally identifiable information). (If you are able to confirm which constituency areas you were counting that would be useful!) 2. If your authority had councillors / elected members who stood for the Senedd and were successfully elected, I believe they should have resigned office by written notice delivered to the proper officer of the authority, and the resignation legally takes effect upon the receipt of the notice by that officer. For each person, I would like to request the name and electoral ward of each person who, immediately before the May 2026 Senedd election, was a serving member of your council and who was returned as a Member of the Senedd at that election. I would also like to request the full timeline on precisely how and when they ceased to be a member of your council, specifically the time and date the required written notice was received by the proper officer of the council (or, if the person ceased to be a member by some other mechanism eg. for example disqualification, please state the mechanism and the relevant timelines).
