Gas Boiler Installation Complaints Statistics
I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Homecure Ltd is a Gas Safe registered heating engineering company. As part of a research exercise into consumer protection enforcement in the gas and boiler installation sector ' being conducted across all Trading Standards authorities in England, Wales and Scotland ' we are requesting the following aggregate data. Please could you provide the total number of complaints or referrals received by your Trading Standards service in each of the following categories, for each of the last five complete financial years (2021/22 to 2025/26): 1) Complaints relating to gas boiler installation, replacement, or servicing work 2) Complaints relating to doorstep selling in connection with boiler or heating system sales 3) Referrals or escalations relating to unsafe gas work ' whether to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), Gas Safe Register, or another enforcement body We are requesting aggregate totals only ' we do not require any information relating to individual cases, complainants, or traders. If your authority does not hold this data in the precise categories described, we would be grateful for the closest equivalent you are able to provide, or confirmation that the data is not held.
